"Gerry: (hanging his head) Now the great Leonidas is going to be a punching bag for a woman? Art imitates life...... "
"Leonidas: *(pondering seriously) VAGINA? "
You are a genius!!! This is so funny...I am going to start gushing! Thank you...
The scenes with Gerry and Zack are hysterical, I wonder if he'll ever do SNL, I imagine it will sound like something you wrote.
Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo Part 6 |
Zoni, you are my hero. Your writing is fiendishly clever and very funny! Everyone seems normal until you get to know them. |
Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo Part 6 |
Thank you ladies. Only GB watchers would get some of the references, so that makes it fun to do. Songs out of tune, the words always a little wrong...Canzoni Stonate |
Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo Part 6 |
Bravo Zoni.....your writings are brilliant and witty and absolutely funny. SNL needs to get a hold of you. |
Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo Part 6 |
Ditto!!!!! Bloody brilliant, zoni!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo Part 6 |
Thanks C and Mrs. If I don't get a bite on my scripts, perhaps I'll apply for a job at SNL, although I can't imagine anyone else being as fun to write about as this bunch and this particular guy. They make it so easy. Songs out of tune, the words always a little wrong...Canzoni Stonate |

Fantastic job Zoni. Very funny. Shahna Butlerettes Pacific Northwest "There's no reason we can't be civil" |

Zoni, you are hilarious! Laura I know a thing or two about a thing or two. |
Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo - Part 7 The Codpiece |
zoni, you've outdone yourself on this one. |
Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo - Part 7 The Codpiece |
Thanks Mrs. I have Vrooooom to thank for the Tripod reference which, in essence, means a "third leg" . As you can see I borrow liberally from all sources for my little parody, which will culminate in one or two episodes more with Gorgo and Leonidas' wedding. It's become a monster I'm having a hard time putting down and a form of entertaining myself when I can't sleep. A little praise can be a heady thing, and my head is large enough already (literally). LOL Zoni |
Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo - Part 7 The Codpiece |
Well, keep making these, Zoni - they are a hoot! Everyone seems normal until you get to know them. |
Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo - Part 7 The Codpiece |
Brilliant !!!! I second, Whoooooooo, please continue.....they keep getting better. |
Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo - Part 8 The Bachelor Paty |
This is the most entertaining thing I have read all day! Keep 'em comin', darlin'! Everyone seems normal until you get to know them. |
Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo - Part 8 The Bachelor Paty |
OMG, zoni. I love the wee things ye throw in there lass... for the "seasoned" Gerry fans. Continue on... |
Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo - Part 8 The Bachelor Paty |
"Geats don't wield words, when swords speak truer" is one line I had to raise the volume and replay a few times before I understood what he was saying (and I usually don't have that GB problem). His Scots was up that day. I laughed when he said "Earth and Water? You'll find plenty of "both" down there!" His Scots was definitely up there too. In Phantom it was "tarn your face" in Music of the Night! I love those little GB moments when they pop out here and there. It is so quintessentially him! He is a hoot to watch and he and the fans provide such a wealth of material, "in actual fact" I literally "canna help maself." That I spend so much of my valuable time either speaks to my total insanity, or his unwitting ability to spark my imagination and make himself endearing in a cockamamie kind of way. Even when he goes for the shock value, he's so transparent at times. Either way, it's all good. While some of this may sound a little disrespectful to some, it is the greatest form of flattery, really. Songs out of tune, the words always a little wrong...Canzoni Stonate |
Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo - Part 8 The Bachelor Paty |
And to be honest, if Gerry were to read this, I think he would laugh his cute little arse off! Chug along, girlfriend... |
Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo - Part 9 - Misgivings |
OMFG... you are a true talent, zoni. I would bow down to you, but since I can't seem to find the matching emoticon, I will use use this one. Cheers!!! |
Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo - Part 9 - Misgivings |
Can't say enough good things.... so thanks for the laughs and please keep them coming. |
Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo - Part 9 - Misgivings |
Zoni, your capacity for entertaining us is endless! Keep it coming! Everyone seems normal until you get to know them. |
Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo - Part 9 - Misgivings |
I'm the one getting addicted to this. I'm thinking if the man ever reads this sh it I may be looking over my shoulder for a Scottish mafia hit man. Songs out of tune, the words always a little wrong...Canzoni Stonate |
Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo - Part 9 - Misgivings |
Nah, I betcha he would laugh! Maybe he would even add some stuff! |
|
Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo - Part 9 - Misgivings |
Dinna fash, zoni. Keep writing and maybe something good will come of it (we can only hope). |

Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo - Part 10 - Making Up |
zoni, with the rate you're going... you'll have a script in no time. Keep up the good work!!! btw, I pity anyone who doesn't know Gerry like we do, b/c they would have absolutely NO freakin clue what any of this means. |
Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo - Part 10 - Making Up |
Just checking in for my morning dose. I love this stuff Zoni - excellent work!!! Please, please keep it coming. You have me addicted to this story. Shahna Butlerettes Pacific Northwest "There's no reason we can't be civil" |
Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo - Part 10 - Making Up |
Good to hear. This one was a bit lame. |

Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo - Part 10 - Making Up |
Not at all....lloooovvved the begining. |
Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo - Part 10 - Making Up |
Bravo Zoni!!! Another masterpiece. |
Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo - Part 10 - *Making Up (continued) |
Genius has turned to madness, Madame! (I am kidding! This is all quite funny. You should consolidate it all onto one thread or a Word document or something! Everyone seems normal until you get to know them. |
Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo - Part 10 - *Making Up (continued) |
It certainly has... and it's wonderful. You are to be commended for being so courageous. Leonidas would be proud!!! |
Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo - Part 10 - *Making Up (continued) |
One of these lines was actually a slip of the tongue typo as my fiendish mind raced along. I was going to remove it, but it fit so comfortably in the line that I decided to go out on the limb the rest of the way and leave it. The writing reflects the "over the top" spirit of 300 which took the flack and is ripe for parody (as we've seen) and resident actor (in a weird sort of way) who is not known for tempering his thoughts or his tongue. Pussyfooting around would be dishonest. I just start out a few lines and let it go where it will, and I don't know where it's going until I'm there. It's in my head and just spills out. I thought this whole thing would have gone poof by this morning, but I'm glad to see it still here because after going to bed at 4 am this morning, (I couldn't sleep and a word to the wise: Don't ever take a Niacin before you go to bed), two thoughts came up and I found myself laughing. I came down and wrote two lines on an envelope so I wouldn't forget them. Talk about not sleeping. The absurdity of this does not escape me, but it's so much fun to take some of the topics people are talking about and incorporate them. I know there are a few of you who pick up on every little reference and if so, that makes it worthwhile. I'm feeling like the Court Jester. Now I just have to figure out if he is foolish or a genius who lacks common sense? I've always prided myself on having plenty of the latter....until now, that is. Zoni Whoooooo. This is well buried in an innocuous thread. Those of you who know it's here come to tickle your funny bone because you "get it." Parody is a form of flattery and this is my affectionate way of gushing without being obnoxious. If it had it's own thread, and more people were reading it I'm afraid it would be reported, deleted and my access closed and to tell you the truth....I am honing some satirical skills I'm just discovering. Who knew? I've saved the material and will print it out. PS. I'm taking the Niacin because my hair is falling out and I think it's falling out because I'm going to bed too late. Catch 22 is the story of my life. Actually, if you explore it, life is one big catch 22 in that "one has to be sane to recognize one's own insanity." Once you know that the rest is easy. LOL |
Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo - Part 10 - *Making Up (continued) |
Things are alittle slow right now in Gerryland and your story was just the right medicine for boredom. Thanks for the memories... |
Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo - Part 10 - *Making Up (continued) |
Good points, all! I am glad you are saving it. (Too bad it could not be made into a little film, like that guy at the MTV awards made 300 into a parody. I think you would be famous!) Everyone seems normal until you get to know them. |
Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo - Part 10 - *Making Up (continued) |
Zoni, I rather see your version than the upcoming 300 big screen parody starring Kevin Sorbo that they're making. Now, if only someone could splice some YouTube 300 stuff together and add the dialog from this thread..... I've been saving this too because sometimes I don't have time to read this and I don't want the thread to disappear on me. Don't worry, I won't be trying to take credit or post this elsewhere - no way - your stuff is too, too good. Shahna Butlerettes Pacific Northwest |
Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo - Pt.10 - 'Making Up' - Chap. 3 |
Another good one! Thanks for my daily fix. I was finally able to catch up on the last two episodes I missed. Shahna Butlerettes Pacific Northwest "There's no reason we can't be civil" |
Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo - Pt.10 - 'Making Up' - Chap. 3 |
Thanks for daily fix, Zoni. Can't wait for the next one. |
Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo - Pt.10 - 'Making Up' - Chap. 3 |
Thanks for the daily giggles...waiting eagerly for the next one. Have a great weekend. |
Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo - Pt.10 - 'Making Up' - Chap. 3 |
Thanks for the support guys. It makes it more fun to have a receptive audience. This movie really lends itself to parody, but if it weren't for GB, it wouldn't be as much fun. Songs out of tune, the words always a little wrong...Canzoni Stonate |

Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo - Part 12 - Fair Play |
Ahhhh, morning coffee, morning episode. Thanks Zoni. See you put a little of a certain other thread in it. Shahna Butlerettes Pacific Northwest |
Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo - Part 12 - Fair Play |
I always sneak in some little reference of what's going on here. With only two scenes left I will miss it. I'm sure it's getting a little redundant already and there are more interesting things happening on the board. I think it's a pretty small group that follow it anyway and thank the ladies that have commented. I actually love working with Leonidas. He is such an "over the top" character he is really fun to exploit and humanize. With the little bits gleaned about GB here and from what we speculate is going on with him from his photos, his promotional stints for this movie, as well as the discussions on this board on same, it gives me a wealth of material to work with. Sometimes trying to read into his body language and that of King Leonidas help me make a point. I just put my interpretation on what I see and crank it up with a few little grains of truth thrown in for good measure, or sometimes I'll go just the opposite way of what I think he would do. As far as GB goes, a good part of him remains a mystery for all his visibility. Zoni |
Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo - Part 12 - Fair Play |
Zoni, I suspect I am not the only one following without comment, I'm loving these! How about some of these now and then about whatever movie he is filming? Not having much information about RockNRolla shouldn't slow you down any. A London gangster who keeps channelling King Leo... BJ |
Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo - Part 12 - Fair Play |
this is great really great you are soooooooooooo talented. this is the firs time i post in this thread but i read it every day it's very funny and really GOOD you must consider doing something as professional (I've no idea if you you are allready professional or not ) Thank you |
Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo - Part 12 - Fair Play |
Thank you rhm_monm. I am glad you are enjoying it. I am not a professional, but am trying to move in that direction. Perhaps if the stars align correctly and I am very lucky, I will get there. In the meantime, this is fun and good practice for me. Zoni |
Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo - Part 12 - Fair Play |
Och! If I absolutely canna help maself, perhaps. Since Mr. B is muse to my madness, he creeps into way too much of my writing already. Thank God #'s 3 and 4, already plotted, are GB free. Thanks for the good words BJ and Shahna. Thanks to all who have encouraged me. It is much appreciated. |
Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo - Part 12 - Fair Play |
Thanks Zoni. As always your writings just crack me up. I always look forward to your next one. Carolyn |
Re: 300 Prequel: Dating Gorgo - Part 12 - Fair Play |
Thank you Carolyn. To borrow a line from another Miller, in this case Arthur, from his Death of A Salesmen, "I haven't got a story left in my head." At least not tonight. To quote Gerry quoting Arnold at the Stunt Awards....."I'll be back." A good 8 hours of sleep should do the trick. Songs out of tune, the words always a little wrong...Canzoni Stonate |
